A BILL

To lower tariffs on fertilizers, steel, aluminum, and other metals imported from Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the “Farmer Tariff Protection Act of 2025”.

SECTION. 2. PURPOSE.

(a) The purpose of this act is to lower costs associated with farming to allow more farmers to stay afloat as high tariffs are increasing costs.

(b) Reducing tariffs on steel and aluminum will bring down high equipment and repair costs of necessary farming equipment.

(c) Canada is the leading exporter of fertilizer to the US

(d) Canada, Mexico, and Brazil are the leading exporters of steel and aluminum to the US.

SECTION. 3.

This Act Establishes:

I. That the US tariffs on Canadian fertilizer will be 5%.

II. That US tariffs on steel and aluminum imported from Canada, Mexico, and Brazil will be set at 25%.
