Bill:25
Presented by Tim Scott of South
Carolina
November 10th, 2025
This bill is presented to make
excelling school programs more accessible to students despite their zip codes.
It will provide more charter schools across the nation and give scholarships to
those unable to afford.
Section 1: Short Title
Equal Education Opportunities
Section II: Findings
Equal education is essential to
a child’s success beyond their foundational childhood. Studies have shown that
around 51% of students who come from low-income families and schools are less
likely to pursue a college degree or more advanced education beyond secondary
education. When given the proper education, funding, teachers, and programs to
succeed, even a child from a low-income home can rise to become a successful
adult.
Section III: Logistics
To fulfill this plan, more
funding would be needed to provide additional home charters, and public
educational opportunities for those of low-income areas. This project would
need a team of educators willing to rebuild community schools from the bottom up.
It would take the effort of principals, programmers, teachers willing to attend
additional conferences, and outside communities donating the funds to get this
project beginning. Hired professionals need to be pro-student success and not
in the project for the money as students and parents’ lives are being affected
by inadequate educational programming.
Section IV: Details
This bill would implement a
charter school style of education within a thirty-mile radius of each other
across the nation and provide bus transportation to get students to and from
school. It would be geared towards the low-income areas as education lacks in
those disadvantaged towns.
